Our Terms and Conditions of Sale
Disklok is operated by Charnock Enterprises (‘we’ or ‘us’). These terms will apply to all your purchases of items from the retail section of our Web Site, whether you are ordering online or by telephone. Please read this document carefully and print it off or download it before placing your order.
We may change these terms from time to time. Please check them before you make a new purchase.
You can pay for your order by the following methods, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Paypal. We will take all reasonable care to keep your order details and payment secure, but, unless we are negligent, we will not be liable for any losses if an authorised third party obtains access to your information.
Your agreement with us
We will confirm acceptance (or otherwise) of your order as soon as possible, either by email (if your order is placed online) or by telephone (if your order is placed by telephone). A binding agreement arises once we accept your order and we will then charge your credit/debit card on acceptance of your order.
We use Royal Mail/DPD/Fedex for all our deliveries but we do not accept responsibility for their delivery times.
Non UK Mainland Deliveries (International)
The shopping checkout will display various postage options based on your locality and the weight of the product you are ordering.
Customers outside the UK may be liable for any customs and import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. Therefore we suggest that you check the requirements in your country before placing an order. We will not be liable for any custom or import duties.
We aim to have orders received on a working day before 3pm dispatched on the same day. Any orders received after 3.30pm may be included in the next working days post. Please note we may not always be able to dispatch the same day during busy periods.
*Working days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays.
All items are subject to availability. We can only guarantee availability whilst stocks last. If the goods ordered are unavailable, we will contact you with suggestions of goods of equivalent quality. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes out of our control.
Changing your mind and unwanted items
In compliance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations (which replaced the Distance Selling Regulations in 2013) you can cancel any order within 14 days of receiving your original order.
Goods should be returned in their original packaging where possible and will be inspected on return. We ask that you DO NOT use any additional tape to secure the original box/packaging, and kindly wrap the returning parcel(s) in some kind of additional packaging i.e. Refuse sack(s)/boxes. With regards to Disklok returns, the keys must be included, if not, a refund or exchange cannot be offered.
The goods remain your responsibility until they reach our warehouse, so make sure it’s packed up properly and can’t get damaged on the way. Items up to 3kg (a Disklok weigh’s 5kg) and within the following dimensions 46cm x 46cm x 61cm can be returned by attaching the prepaid returns label, that is sent with every order (lost your returns label – please contact 01257 795100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org), and taking this to your local Post Office.
The Post Office will provide you with a Proof of Postage receipt; you should keep this as it contains the tracking information for your parcel. Please note that without your Royal Mail receipt, we cannot take responsibility for your parcel if it does not arrive back to us. In such circumstances we would, unfortunately, not be able to offer a refund.
Larger items (any Disklok size) will need to be returned at the consumer’s expense. We can arrange for collection of larger items (from designated drop-off points) using DPD Homecall Returns if required but there will be a charge of £5.95. If you wish for us to arrange a collection from your address, there will be a charge of £10.95. In exceptional circumstances please contact us.
Once returned and inspected we will refund the cost of the purchase plus any delivery costs. However we will not refund the cost of returning any items that are unwanted and if you request a collection this will be deducted from your refund.
We regret that we cannot issue refunds or exchanges after the 14 day period outlined in the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
Damaged Items and Shortages
If you receive an item that is damaged or missing any parts on arrival, you will need to contact us either by phone on 01257 795100 or by email to email@example.com within 72 hours of delivery of the product. We will then advise of our full returns procedure, and work to rectify this issue as quickly as possible for you.
If you received a faulty item or it becomes faulty whilst in its warranty period we will be happy to repair or replace the item
The warranty period for all products with the exception of the Disklok security device is 12 months from date of purchase. The Disklok security device warranty is 3 years from date of purchase
In all cases you must first follow our simple returns procedure. First call 01257 795100, in some instances we may be able to provide information that cures the problem. If this is not the case we will organise a collection of the product and email the full details of how to return the product.
Once we receive the product back a member of the returns staff will inspect and test the product. We will notify you of our findings and if the item is found to be faulty we will either report or if not viable replace the item.
We process returns in the order they are received and we do try to have a repaired or replacement returned to you as soon as possible, normally within 10 working days. However in busy periods this may not be possible and it may take up to 28 working days.
If, in the unlikely event, you wish to make a complaint, then please contact us in writing and send it to – Customer Services Department, Charnock Enterprises, Disklok House, Preston Road, Charnock Richard, Chorley, PR7 5HH.
We shall then fully investigate the matter and contact you within 7 working days from receipt of letter.
This guarantee is in addition to any warranties or conditions implied by law and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
For marketing purposes we may email you regarding our products and services or to make you aware of special discounts that we think you will be interested in. If you do not wish to be contacted for marketing purposes you can unsubscribe from the mailing list by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of our emails. Caring for Your Purchase
Always refer to the operating, care and maintenance instructions in relation to each product. Any instance whereby you have deemed to have tampered with the product will void any outstanding warranties.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on this Website. However, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the actual product.
While we try to be as accurate as possible, all sizes, weights and measurements quoted are approximate. Our Website shows the price of goods and services inclusive of VAT plus delivery charges, (errors and omissions excepted). In the unlikely event that an incorrect price is shown on our website Charnock Enterprises reserves the right to abstain from fulfilling the order at that price.
The products sold on this Website have been designed to comply with the health and safety laws of the UK and we cannot warrant or represent that they comply with any health and safety or other legal requirement outside the UK.
All contracts formed between us for the purchase of items from this Website shall be governed by English Law and any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts
If any provisions of these terms and conditions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deem servable and shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions
